little bitsWelcome Year 6 to your ‘Interactive Art Module’!

In our last classes, we focused on contemporary art after our visit to the Museum of Contemporary Art where we saw the ‘Sip My Ocean‘ exhibition by Pipilotti Rist. We have also been focusing on contemporary artists like Jeff Koons and Yayoi Kusama. We have all created drawings and ideas for an installation in our sketchbooks. By the end of this module, we will have made our own interactive work using Little Bits – electronic blocks.

lesson 1In this lesson, we will be having a look at an electronics technology called Little Bits and learning about each part of our set. We will be learning how to make a circuit and experimenting with different variables. lesson2

In this lesson, we will be doing work in groups to create different projects using the knowledge from what we learnt in lesson 1 to create projects with a twist using create > play > remix.

lesson3

In this final lesson, we will be creating our own interactive work in pairs using what we learnt in both of the previous lessons. You may appropriate (using the ideas of others but making it your OWN) ideas and at the end of the lesson, you and your partner must present your interactive artwork to the class.

Can’t wait to see what you guys come up with!
